Marlborough ETF Absolute Return Fund
The Marlborough ETF Absolute Return Fund (formerly MFM iFunds ETF Absolute Return)
In July 2005, the MFM iFunds ETF OEIC was launched by Marlborough Fund Managers (MFM). The first sub-fund of the MFM iFunds OEIC was the ETF Absolute Return Fund (initially launched as Total Return Fund). This fund was launched in order to give wider investor access to our ETF investment process.
On 2nd June 2008 the fund was moved to the "Marlborough" range of funds to establish wider distribution.
The aim for this unique vehicle is to reduce the volatility associated with equity returns while still delivering a performance above that of cash. Unlike other lower risk total return funds this vehicle does not attempt to reduce risk by holding pre-defined weightings in other asset classes such as bonds, property or cash (although it will use these when the process dictates it but not to a pre-prescribed level). Instead, it utilises the exclusive risk managed investment process developed by iFunds.
